Brittle Days - A Tribute To Nick Drake is a 1992 compilation album released by Imaginary Records in the UK. The album features contemporary artists performing cover versions of songs by Nick Drake. Imaginary Records, most notably home The Chameleons UK and similar new-wave UK bands, was greatly influenced by Drake.

Sensational Tribute to Nick Drake Compiled by and featuring Australian Singer-songwriter Raoul Graf (Who Has Worked with Ed Kuepper, the Church). No one but Nick Drake should sing his music. However, this album, like my wifes cooking, does after a while start to taste like the real thing. It is actually pretty good. OK. So i listened to Northern Sky and dropped my coffee on the table. It is quite awesomely done. This album fills a few gaps. The arrangements are interesting. Antipodean accents asside, this is rather splendid.

A 1992 album paying tribute to Nick Drake, featuring the Walkabouts, Clive Gregson, Scott Appel, and more, is ripe for rediscovery. In 1992, they released Brittle Days: A Tribute to Nick Drake. Anyone who bought the album was as likely to be being introduced to Drake as to the artists singing his songs therein. Instead, devotees expressed their devotion to other devotees, resulting in an album that was quiet, reverent, and more than a little haunting

The album is notable for the appearance of Nick's sister, Gabrielle, on one track and the contribution of two original songs performed by Nick's mother, Molly Drake. Recorded before the release of his first album Five Leaves Left, most of the tracks on the album circulated on bootlegs in the years before official release due to the generosity of Drake's family in sharing them with fans. The album reached on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart, making it Drake's first album to chart in America.

The Times is linked to Edward Ball's band, but this version of Fruit Tree is sang by a female singer, I wonder if she is from Edward Ball's The Times, or another group with the same name?
